FAQ’s

WHAT IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION?

Scalp micropigmentation is the process of reversing baldness through the use of biological pigments placed in the epidermal layer of the scalp.

The process is similar to tattooing where pigments used in micropigmentation are carefully selected to ensure that they look as natural as possible. The end result has a lasting and positive impact on each client due to the reversal of the balding process.

IS THE PROCESS SIMILAR TO HAIR TRANSPLANTS?

No, there’s no similarity at all as no hair shafts are added to the follicles which what takes place during hair transplant procedures.

When Micropigmentation is done on a completely bald head, the end result is a head that looks like it has been recently shaven.

The process can also be done on people with a full head of hair who have patch.

IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?

The good news is that pain throughout the procedure is minimal, all care is taken throughout the process with minimal discomfort to patients.

DOES THE PROCEDURE FADE OVER TIME?

Specially formulated ink is used for creating the exact look and colour for each client to ensure longevity.

Follow up sessions may be required after a decade or so to ensure the colour remains.

IS IT NOTICABLE THAT I HAVE HAD THE SMP PROCEDURE?

You’ll be surprised how authentic the procedure looks.

Best of all your family and friends won’t be able to tell either. You can leave the procedure in full confidence that your procedure is complete and professional.

CAN SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION BE REMOVED?

Scalp micropigmentation can be removed, the technique shares some characteristics with regular tattoos and removal is possible through a dedicated treatment process.
